The gauntlet has been thrown down
I have challenged the dunk tank participants to see who can raise the most money in the dunk tank. Mr. Stowe, Pastor, Nick, and myself are scheduled in the dunk tank at our Summer Rummage Festival from 8 am until 8 pm on July 31, 2010 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran in Waukesha.
The schedule for the dunk tank is:
- 11:00 am: Mr. Stowe (Principal)
- 12:00 noon: Nick Krueger (Congregation President)
- 2:00 pm: Pastor Schmidt (Pastor)
- 3:00 pm: Brian Wightman (School Board Chairman)
The Summer Rummage Festival at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church and School is a chance for the community to see what we are about in a fun environment. There will be a music stage, racing sausages, a dunk tank, games for the kids, a bouncy castle, and food, as well as large rummage sale.
The day will culminate with an outdoor concert at 6:00 pm. All funds raised at Beautiful Savior Lutheran's Summer Rummage Festival will benefit Christian education through our day school ministry at Beautiful Savior Lutheran School.
Come join us to have some fun, fellowship, and food.
I will be in the dunk tank from 3:00 to 4:00. So come early, shop a bit, have some food and fun, then buy a lot of balls to throw. I am usually all wet anyway. |

I received a message this morning that a long-time teacher at our school has
completed her race, and is now at home, eternally, with her Savior.
While we are sad for our loss, we can also celebrate the memories of her
time with us, and the certainty of knowing that we will see her again.
All three of my children have been taught by Mary, and her love for
children, education, and sharing the love of Christ was evident in the
effect she has had on them. I have also had the pleasure of working
with Mary these last 5 years, as a member of the school board. She was
truly an asset to the school and an ambassador for Christ.
This 25 year teacher has had an effect on so many people around her and
will be missed. While we grieve here, we also know that some day, we
will celebrate with her beyond the finish line of this great race.
Enjoy your reward. It was a race well run. |

On Friday, September 18, 2009, Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church and School is hosting a fun family night featuring Fish Sticks Comedy and its unique brand of squeaky-clean, high-energy improv comedy. There will be a fish fry (also available for take-out), dinner music, and fun for all.
This event is being held to support two very worthwhile causes: the Cooperating Congregations of Waukesha County, and the Beautiful Savior Lutheran School Tuition Assistance Fund. We have been challenged to fill up the gym for this event. Let's see if that can happen!
Please see the event poster for more details.
